CAJUN FRIES WITH VINEGAR SAUSE

PREP: 30 MIN. COOK: 12 MIN. SERVING: 2

These Cajun Fries are tossed in a smoky, spicy homemade seasoning and air‑fried until crisp, then paired with a tangy malt‑vinegar dipping sauce that cuts through the heat. Every bite is crunchy, zesty, and addictively bold—perfect for game days, cookouts, or anytime you want a fiery, flavorful fry.

INGREDIENTS

Potatoes

  • 1 lb russet potatoes

  • 1½ tsp peanut oil

Cajun Seasoning

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup ketchup

  • 4½ tsp malt vinegar

DIRECTION

1. Prep the Potatoes Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Cut the potatoes into ¼‑inch julienne strips and toss with peanut oil.

2. Season Combine all Cajun seasoning ingredients in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the potatoes and toss until evenly coated.

3. Air‑Fry Place the seasoned potatoes in a greased air‑fryer basket. Cook for 12–14 minutes, shaking once halfway through to redistribute the fries. Cook until browned and crisp.

4. Make the Dipping Sauce Stir together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and malt vinegar until smooth. Serve alongside the hot fries.

Note

Air‑fryer models vary widely. Begin checking for doneness at the earliest time listed and adjust as needed.
