Whiskey BBQ Chicken Melt - Quick & Easy Recipe

Chicken

  • 4 frozen breaded chicken tenders

Cinnamon BBQ Sauce

  • 3 Tbsp barbecue sauce

  • 2 tsp whiskey

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

Sandwich Build

  • 4 slices sourdough bread

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

  • 4 cooked bacon strips

  • 2 Tbsp ranch salad dressing

  • 4 tsp butter, softened


Directions

1. Cook the Chicken Prepare the breaded chicken tenders according to the package directions.

2. Make the Cinnamon BBQ Sauce Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir together the barbecue sauce, whiskey, and ground cinnamon; set aside.

3. Build the Sandwiches Top 2 slices of sourdough with half of the cheddar cheese. Add the cooked bacon strips. Place the hot chicken tenders on top of the bacon. Drizzle with the cinnamon BBQ sauce and ranch dressing. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and the remaining bread slices.

4. Butter & Toast Spread the outsides of both sandwiches with the softened butter. In a skillet over medium heat, toast the sandwiches until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown, 2–3 minutes per side.

5. Serve - Serve hot and enjoy the sweet‑smoky cinnamon BBQ flavor.
