Ingredient
Ham
1 fully cooked spiral‑sliced bone‑in ham (8–10 lbs)
1 cup water
¾ cup honey, divided
Spice Glaze
1 cup sugar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground allspice
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp paprika
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ tsp ground mustard
¼ tsp Chinese five‑spice powder
⅛ tsp ground cloves
Directions
1. Slow‑Cook the Ham Place the ham and 1 cup water in a 7‑qt slow cooker. Brush the ham with ½ cup honey. Cook, covered, on LOW until a thermometer reads 140°F, 4–5 hours.
2. Prepare to Broil Preheat the broiler. Combine all glaze ingredients in a bowl.
3. Glaze & Broil Transfer the ham to a rack in a shallow roasting pan, cut side down. Brush with the remaining ¼ cup honey. Sprinkle the glaze mixture over the ham, gently pressing to help it adhere. Broil 6–8 inches from the heat until lightly browned and the sugar melts, about 3–5 minutes, rotating as needed.
4. Set & Harden the Glaze Cover the ham loosely with foil and let stand until the glaze hardens, about 30 minutes.
