Iced Cold-Brew Coffee - Quick & Easy Recipe

Prep: 10+ min. Serving: 7+ Cup

Free

Ingredient

Coffee Base

  • 1 cup coarsely ground medium‑roast coffee

  • 1 cup hot water (205°F)

  • 6 to 7 cups cold water

Optional Add‑Ins

  • 2% milk

  • Half‑and‑half cream

Directions

1. Combine Coffee & Hot Water Place the coarsely ground coffee in a clean glass container. Pour the hot water (205°F) over the grounds and let it stand for 10 minutes to bloom and release flavor.

2. Add Cold Water Stir in 6–7 cups cold water. Cover the container and refrigerate for 12–24 hours. (The longer it steeps, the stronger and richer the brew.)

3. Strain the Coffee Strain the mixture through a fine‑mesh sieve and discard the grounds. Strain again through a coffee filter for a smoother, cleaner concentrate.

4. Serve & Store Serve the cold brew over ice, with milk or half‑and‑half if desired. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
