Oreo Balls - Quick & Easy Recipe

38 Oreo cookies*
1 package cream cheese, room temperature (8 oz / 226g)
1 cup white or dark chocolate melting wafers, semi‑sweet chocolate chips, or chopped chocolate bars (180g)

Crush the Oreos: Add the Oreo cookies to a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. (If you don’t have a processor, place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin until very fine.)
Mix with Cream Cheese: Transfer the crumbs to a large mixing bowl or a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Add the softened cream cheese and beat on medium‑low until fully combined. Scrape down the bowl to make sure no dry crumbs or unmixed cream cheese remain.
Shape the Balls: Use a tablespoon‑size cookie scoop to portion the mixture, then roll each portion into a smooth ball. Each ball should be about 1 inch or roughly 20g. Place them on a parchment‑lined baking sheet, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 2 days.
Melt the Chocolate: Place your chocolate in a heat‑safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then microwave another 30 seconds and stir again. Continue heating in 15‑second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted. (If the chocolate seems too thick, whisk in a small amount of vegetable oil to thin it.)
Dip the Balls: Using a fork or skewer, dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate and place it back onto parchment to set. If adding Oreo crumbs or sprinkles, sprinkle them on immediately— the coating firms up quickly.
Set and Decorate: Chill the dipped balls for 1 hour or until the chocolate is fully set. If you want a chocolate drizzle, add it once the coating has hardened.
Store: Keep the Oreo balls refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
